Reception and Legacy

Like Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 4 received amazingly positive scores across the board. It was one of the top selling games for the year it was released, making Leon Scott Kennedy one of the only Resident Evil main characters to feature as the main character in two popular Resident Evil games.
