There is lots that can be speculated on the relationship between Aya Brea, the hero of the game, and the villainess, Eve. What we know for sure is that Eve tends to regard Aya with a bit of seemingly bored and haughty curiosity. She ponders why she fights for the side of a “doomed species” and tries to seduce her to join her side. She also gives her plenty of distractions and fights along the way to keep her from interfering in her true purpose. Aya is desperate to learn more about who and what Eve is, and why she and her are connected. She’s also fighting hard to stop her from destroying humanity. Aya and Eve are connected. Eve is aware that their cells are communicating, as she states during their first conversation. She also tells her that she wants to give her some time, “Some time to think, and some time to evolve” and tells her “the time will come when she will AWAKEN.” She also cryptically states “The more you use the power, the more you will become like…me.” This is quite mysterious and the meaning is never really confirmed, although a lot of people think that explains the standard ending of Parasite Eve. (Not the Ex ending, which I suppose is the cannon ending.) |
